Angie Elkins


Angie Elkins currently serves as Platform Ministry Coordinator at First Baptist Church Orlando. She also coordinates and co-directs Summer Music Day Camp for children at First Orlando. She and her writing partners have finished 4 original children's musical that will be released from LifeWay Worship. Angie has written a curriculum for preschoolers called Music, Mommy and Me, as well as produced multiple children's worship projects for G3 Worship, G3 Kids.

 

Angie is a worship leader, songwriter and speaker for women's and children's music events nationwide. Look for her first children's musical, David and the Five Smooth Stones to be released from LifeWay worship in the Fall of 2015. Angie and her husband, Robert, serve at First Baptist Orlando, where he is Pastor of Worship and Music. They have 3 little red-heads: Jack, Audrey and Foster.

Amanda Singer

Amanda Singer is the Vocal Music Pastor at Community Bible Church in San Antonio, Texas, since 1996 where she pioneered a thriving Kids Choir Ministry. With the goal of teaching worship as a lifestyle Amanda writes and arranges music relevant to kid’s day to day lives, includes times of worship into each weekly lesson plan and uses worship concepts as the basic curriculum. In a partnership with Lifeway, the new CWS “Children’s Worship Series” takes this concept and offers it on a national level with Amanda’s CBC Kids Choir music and methods. Amanda also has adult choir compositions and arrangements published with Prism Music and Lillenas. Amanda serves as a clinician and guest artist/worship leader for conferences and evangelistic events nationally, and also mentors student worship leaders at CBC. Amanda has degrees from JSU in north Alabama, and masters degrees (seminary) from SMU in Dallas. Amanda is married to Gary – they have Tyler and Cory who played varsity football together in high school and now attend Texas State University – and they all live in Bulverde Texas where you can find her in the garden.

From preparation to class dynamic and pace, these ideas will capture the children’s attention and assist your volunteers in execution. Fostering Leadership and Musical ExcellenceIncludes Mentoring Leaders, Teaching Harmony and Vocal Technique, and Effective Rehearsal Techniques Kids will keep coming to choir if they are challenged, and if your rehearsals are effective, organized, practical and fun. There are spiritual and musical leaders in your classes and they need to be developed. Diane Dawson

Diane Dawson has been a leader in Children’s Choir ministry for more than 35 years, for the last 25 at The People’s Church in Franklin, TN. She continues to write music curriculum for various publishers and to lead conferences and music camps, training both leaders and kids. Recently her most exciting endeavor has been leading international kids’ music camps in the refugee community in Nashville, TN and in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Her age graded curriculum for teaching hymns, Hymn Treasures, is available directly from Diane at dianebdawson@bellsouth.net . Her five beautiful grandchildren are the light of her life!

Building a Strong Foundation in Preschool ChoirDeveloping the next generation of worshipers starts in preschool! This is where we can teach the fundamental concepts of making music, as well as build in a love for singing and worshiping with great, age-appropriate songs.
