Earlene Welch Williams

After becoming a Christian, Earlene found GOD calling her into ministry and has been a minister’s wife for almost 37 years.  During this time she has served in various leadership roles and has gained a broad prospective of ministry.  One of her passions is encouraging and teaching women and ministry wives through Biblical studies, building prayer groups and ministry relationships.  Currently Earlene travels with her husband Terry who serves with the Florida Baptist Convention, encouraging others in their service for the LORD through teaching, counseling, and ministry consulting.  She also partners with him on many events, developing missional opportunities as well as creating activities and conferences for women and ministry wives.  She has been a guest speaker in local, state, and national conferences.  Above all, Earlene’s constant desire is to love the LORD with all of her heart, soul, and mind through a lifestyle of worship and ministry, be a support for her husband, as well as care for her family.  She has been blessed with two children and five grandchildren.

His Home, His SanctuaryIt doesn't take long to realize that being a wife can be a tough job. Life can bring unspeakable joy, utter sorrow, and brutal disappointments. Your husband is on the front line, and can be constantly under attack. So what is your plan of action? How are we to be the helpmeet that God calls us to be? Is your home a safe place from the storms the world can bring? Come with me and we will see what scripture tells us about how to make your home a sanctuary. (Thursday, 2:30 & 4:00 p.m., Friday, 8:45 a.m. & 4:00 p.m.) LEADER, Christy Wells / A-212

Sheri Jamieson

Sheri Jamieson is the daughter of a worship pastor who served in many Southern Baptist churches for 35 years. She received her bachelor degree in social work from Florida State University, a masters degree in social work from University of Texas in Arlington, and a masters in church and community ministries from Southwestern Seminary. She is happily married to Dr. Thomas Jamieson for 15 years and together they have 3 young children. Sheri and her husband have been at First Baptist Church of Mt. Dora for 8 years where he serves as Senior Pastor. Sheri has worked with Florida Baptist Children's Home and Buckner Baptist Benevolence in Texas as director of Baptist Center ministering to homeless, low income families and children. She also enjoys teaching, music ministry, and leading women to a closer walk with the Lord.

Raising Laborers for God's KingdomThe Bible says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6).  How can we be sure that our children grow up to be faithful to the Lord, love the local church, and commit to serve Him however He calls?  Growing up as the Worship Pastor's kid, Sheri learned valuable lessons from her parents on how to survive and thrive.  Today she serves as a Pastor’s wife and her brother also serves as a Senior Pastor.  Together let's explore how to raise up the next generation of laborers for God's kingdom. (Thursday, 2:30 p.m. & 4:00 p.m., Friday, 8:45 a.m. & 4:00 p.m.) LEADER, Sheri Jamieson / A-213
