Conference Praise Team

This is your opportunity to sing with an auditioned team of singers.  Auditions are scheduled for Thursday afternoon, opening day of Worship Expo.  This team will rehearse and sing from memory two selections in the final worship celebration on Saturday Morning.  Praise Team will consist of (2) sopranos, (2) altos, (2) tenors.  After singers are auditioned and selected, we ask that all other singers join the Conference Choir.

Mike Haight

Mike Haight has been a worship pastor for over 20 years. For almost half of those years, Mike was privileged to serve the worship ministry of First Baptist Church of Orlando, FL. He has also served small congregations as well as mega-‐churches in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi, where he is currently the Worship Arts Pastor at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison. Mike has been in demand as a recording studio and concert vocalist for years. His credits include Walt Disney Entertainment, Warner Brothers Publishing, WORD Music, Shawnee Press, Promise Keepers, Extraordinary Women Conferences, American Association of Christian Counselors’ World Conference, Al Denson, Kari Jobe, and Wintley Phipps, to name a few.

Mike has performed live, all over the world, as a soloist and as a vocalist for other artists. In addition to singing and leading worship, Mike has a passion to invest in other worship leaders, helping them grow in character and in the skills necessary to lead effectively. This passion created the opportunity for him to be on the ground floor of helping develop the Experience Conference in Orlando and Dallas, TX. For the past 5 years, Mike has served the Experience Conference as emcee and house worship leader. Mike is crazy about his wife, Lori, of 18 years and his daughter, Kaelyn.

Let’s Get Real (Leading with Authenticity) - We’ll explore what it means to worship “in Spirit and in Truth” and lead from a place of genuineness. This not only helps us connect with the One we worship, but with those whom we lead. We’ll also discuss praise team “best practices” as well as vocal technique and care.
