Smaller Church Membership

Size really does not matter.  We worship a great God who is worthy to be worshiped in churches with smaller membership or larger membership.  This track will allow you develop the necessary steps in moving forward with your music and worship ministry.

Stephen Wells

Stephen Wells, 34, was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida. From a very early age, Stephen began to sing and felt a strong leading to serve in full-time ministry. His parents raised he and his siblings in church, showing him how to be faithful to God. Mr. Wells has actively served in the local church since his childhood. Throughout High School, he continued his musical path and was awarded first place in the State for Male Vocal Solo, was accepted in the Florida All-State Choir 2 years, traveled the country in choirs and ensembles, and had the opportunity to serve as leader to the traveling team. Stephen and Christy Wells, also a singer, have been married for 13 years and have served often side by side in full-time ministry for 11 years. A graduate of Liberty University with a BA in Religion, he is passionate about worship but also family ministry. He's served as Worship and Family Pastor at First Baptist Church of Lake Butler for 8 years and has co-lead a fundamental change in the church's vision and mission to raise up the next generation of believers. Since being at First Baptist of Lake Butler, Stephen has lead a successful children's choir for 6 years until passing the baton to another so he could take on the responsibility of the youth ministry which included starting and growing a youth choir ministry that regularly ministers through singing, drama, blacklight production, and recently presented a full-length musical he pieced together from various sources. Along with corporate worship, Adult Worship Choir and Family Ministries, Stephen keeps a full plate and loves every minute of it. He has three awesome children, Josie Mae, Jack and Hank and with his beautiful wife and children is his favorite place to be. His life verse is Psalm 28:6-7, "Blessed be the Lord! For He has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The Lord is my strength and shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him."
